Washington Premiere of The Lafayette Escadrille Documentary

In honor of Armistice Day and Veterans Day, please join us for the Washington, DC Premiere of The Lafayette Escadrille documentary.

The Lafayette Escadrille is a brand new documentary feature film by FACC Members Paul Glenshaw and Darroch Greer. It is one of the great stories of the French-American alliance, telling the story of the American volunteers who flew for France before the US entered WWI. They were known as The Lafayette Escadrille, and became the founding squadron of American combat aviation.

A post-projection panel discussion with the filmmakers will give you glimpses into the four-year production, in which they filmed over 40 locations in France, and worked closely with the French and American families of the pilots, finding troves of never-before-seen materials.

  • Pre-projection reception at 6pm, featuring the famous “Lafayette Cocktail” that was made for the filmmakers at Harry’s New York Bar in Paris.

  • The projection of the movie will be followed by a panel discussion with the filmmakers as well as a Meet & Greet with both the filmmakers and some of the pilots' family members.

  • Note: To ensure maximum safety for all our guests, proof of vaccination is required for entry.
