Our favorite French children's bookstore is making a new start!
Grand Opening Week-End, June 8 and 9.
Bonjour Books DC aims to be a community hub for Francophones and Francophiles, providing a place to browse and purchase French-language materials for every budget: both new and used books and magazines are available for sale. The store also plans to offer storytimes, book clubs, and classes in French.
We invite you to the ribbon cutting on Saturday, Jun 8 at 10:00am. Places are limited, registration required.
Note: If you come with your children, they must also be registered.
Special events and promotions will take place all weekend at the store.
Sat, Jun 8, 10am: Ribbon-cutting ceremony, in the presence of Denis Chazelle, Executive Director of the French-American Chamber of Commerce, and Tracey Furman, mayor of Kensignton, MD.
Sat, Jun 8, 11am: French Author Carole Geneix will present her book, newly available in paperback: "La Mille et Deuxieme Nuit".
Carole is also a resident of Kensington and will be sharing her favorite French books and authors found at Bonjour Books DC!
Sat, Jun 8, 2pm: Our favorite children's entertainer, Achille Ango, will perform music for the kids (et les grands ;-).
