Fête de la Musique

The Fête de la Musique, also known in English as Music Day, Make Music Day or World Music Day, is an annual music celebration that takes place on June 21 worldwide.

For the last 38 years in France, the 21st June is not just the longest day of the year but also the day of the fête de la musique. This "festival of music" is no ordinary festival. Created in France in 1982, it has been taken up by neighboring countries where it has been just as successful. Music takes over the city's streets, with live bands, singers, amateur musicians, drummers, DJs and so on scattered throughout the city, expressing themselves through music and inviting the crowd to enjoy themselves.

We will be giving a new twist to this event by not only having it online, but also by incorporating a French dessert mini class presented by Chef Hughes Cossard, wine tasting by Chateau de Pommard, and a French artist (TBA) presented by Batignolles in DC.

Just as if you were walking along the city streets listening to the music, and taking small breaks at an outdoor terrace, eating chocolate truffles while sipping on Burgundy wine.

Join us, sing along and let's have fun!

Note: As this is Father's Day, this would be a great gift for the important dad in your life!
