This Fundraising Campaign is conducted by our member FairCom New York. It is published here as part of the services we offer to our members.

Ranked among Unesco's world heritage list, the château de Chambord is a matchless example of architecture of the French Renaissance. To anticipate the 500th anniversary of the château in 2019, American Friends of Château de Chambord is launching a campaign to adopt a vine in Chambord's historic vineyard, planted in 1518 at the direction of   Francis I.

Chambord is reinvigorating the vineyard by planting 12 hectares of three varietals originally chosen by King Francis I. They are offering these vines for "adoption", along with the ability to leave your name - or a loved one's - on the vine for the next century. In addition to making your mark on an exceptional example of French patrimony, adopters receive priority access to the wine made from the first harvest in 2019, and an exclusive invitation to visit the vineyard during a special event. American Friends of Château de Chambord is dedicated to preserving, restoring and sharing with the public the château, its outbuildings and surrounding forest.

The American Friends of Château de Chambord and its partners will make a short presentation of their "Adopt a vine in Chambord's historic vineyard" fundraiser program during our Networking and Happy Hour at the French Embassy, MAY 04, 2018
