Sandi Duverneuil

Sandi Duverneuil founded Minerva Business Solutions in 2010 as a result of assisting a Washington, DC-based digital marketing agency, inQbation, with its business development needs.

Ms. Duverneuil has over twenty years of experience in publishing and project management, which includes launching new reference publications.Her past employers include BNA Bloomberg (formerly The Bureau of National Affairs, Inc.), the Congressional Research Service (CRS), the National Library of Medicine, and The United States Pharmacopeial Convention (USP). Her work as senior editor on the launch of USP’s Food Chemicals Codex, Sixth Edition was recognized by USP with a Lightning Award.

Additionally, Ms. Duverneuil worked for the Consulate General of Canada in Denver as a Trade Commissioner Assistant. Her international experience includes teaching English in Fukuoka, Japan through the JET programme as well as supporting international students in Youth for Understanding’s (YFU) Community College Program.

Originally from New York, Ms. Duverneuil completed her undergraduate studies at l’Université de Montréal and earned her master’s degree in social policy (international education concentration) at State University of New York, Empire State College. She is enrolled in a dual MBA/International Management program at University of Maryland University College.

Pierre-Hugues Gélinas

After working in graphic design and project management in the publishing industry for ten years, Pierre-Hugues Gélinas earned a master’s degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) at l’Université de Montréal.

As a librarian and knowledge manager, his experience includes:

• Collection development and research for the Alain Langlois Foundation for Art, Science and Technology;
• Socio-economic researcher (competitive intelligence) at the Québec Economic Development ministry; and
• Web content manager for the New Brunswick Public Library Head Office.

His responsibilities included research, editing, and developing public services. He currently works for Recherche Valis, based in Montreal, as well as Minerva Business Solutions, where he identifies industry trends, conducts custom research, and organizes information for a multitude of clients. Mr. Gélinas’ educational background also includes a bachelor’s degree in history, a master’s degree in Philosophy, as well as a merit-based research grant for doctoral studies in Philosophy.
